Otel Lobby

Otel Lobby.. Yup Otel Lobby guys, not a 'Hotel Lobby'.. A new hip place that has been talking about, even my mom knows it haha.. The place just like their name, the interior is set up like a hotel lobby.. There's a receptionist desk, baggage cart just rite in front the entrance..

I guess we are too early for dinner.. The crowd started around 8PM..

The warm and inviting ambiance of this place make us feel comfy and cozy..

There are some unique and creative items found to be used as decorations in restaurants, such as ping pong ball and a hola hoop rattan arranged in their hanging lamp..

Hot Chamomile Tea (20K) to warm up your body..

What they have here.. The menu is simple and doesn't have many food options.. They have a happy hour 'buy 1 get 1' promotion' till 7PM, so we can enjoy their buy 1 get 1 appetizer menu.. There's a misunderstanding here.. We thought that we can buy 1 and get 1 with a different menu, but apparently the buy 1 and get 1 here is applicable only for the same menu..

So what happen now? Yup we got many appetizers haha, two portions for the meatballs and two portions for the springroll, even our table was so packed already with these appetizers haha.. We just asked the waiter to take away the other one ;p

Here's our first appetizer, OTL Meatballs (55K), a juicy minced beef meatball mixed with some cheese serve with tomato sauce and melinjo crackers/emping.. Have no idea here why they paired the melinjo crackers with meatballs, but I like it ;) just dipped the crackers into tomato sauce they went well though..

The second one is Wagyu Springroll (45K), a deep fried springroll stuffed with minced wagyu served with cheese dips.. Actually there are three pieces of it, I was hungry and I ate one before I took a picture haha.. They're good with the cheese dips though..

Tickle and teased by the starters, we're waiting to be blown away by the main courses..

For the main, the waiter recommended us to order their new menu, Soy Braised Gindara (85K), a pan fried gindara served with sauteed veggies and soy bean.. The fish was cooked well, no fishy smell and has a smooth texture, but I don't like their sauteed soy bean, it's kinda weird for me.. And I think the portion is too small given by their price..

Next is Pappardelle - small (55K), a homemade pappardelle sauteed with braised short ribs and topped with soft poached egg.. A very well flavored pasta with lite creamy sauce and seasoned well too.. I used to dislike beef but this one is different, the beef was tender, juicy, and cooked very well.. This is recommended definitely..

Although there's not much food selections here, but the taste is meet our expectation.. Too bad our appetite hit the full button fast, gonna check out more the next round especially their desserts.. Worth to try guys.. :)
